Why BushBasking

"The longest journey you will make is from your head to your heart"

BushBasking is not just a bush walk, this is not a meditation. BushBasking sets as primary goal an understanding of what it means to be present, through the use of our senses.

"Nature is within us"

De-Stress and connect with nature through the practise of BushBasking

Our day-to-day lives have become so busy doing ‘stuff’ that our minds (and bodies) race from one thing to the next, rarely slowing down to focus on the present – the present moment , the present thought, the present feeling, the present task, the present action.

In the bush, in nature, we have one objective – to slow down. This slowing down brings our minds back into our bodies which then makes our bodies slow down. Once familiarised and befriended with nature, you will feel it ground you from under foot and nurture the body as the five senses open up.

BushBasking invites you total some time out, to slow down, to be present and take in the bush.

BushBasking journeys are between two and four hours and led by a trained and qualified guide. Locations are around Sydney and the Greater Sydney Areas.

Walks range from easy access walks through to walks requiring more fitness and agility.
